John Holmes Motherfucker - 2021-02-08 You are, in fact, REQUIRED to watch this!
The link, unfortunately is dead, but the discussion should give you an idea.

Here's an article from the Guardian and the title is literally:

If you have Netflix, they released a Mystery Scince Theater version in 2017, and it's the best of the Netflix MST3Ks by far.
Purists can see it here for free. Outside of the US, a proxy may be required, I don't know. I'm gonna watch it again RIGHT NOW!

Why do the spaceships look like barely-modernized versions of Flash Gordon's ship from decades earlier? How did they make the Star Wars ships look so much more real?

Doesn't anyone else want to discuss Starcrash? I could go on and on.
Christopher Plummer and Joe Spinell (Maniac) both seem to be competing to see who can overact the most, but they're both such good actors, it's actually fun to watch, and they both have such different styles of overacting. Spinell struts and frets, and glowers and rants with such glorious abandon, the other actors probably wanted to avoid getting too close to his face. Christopher Plummer delivers silly lines like "Imperial Starship, halt the flow of time!" as if it was its the prologue to Henry V. At the end, Plummer speaks directly to the camera because... why not? Because it's ridiculous? That's exaxtly why he SHOULD speak directly to the camera.

I saw this one summer in San Diego as a kid with a Star Wars double-feature. Talk about contrasts.
