Maybe Moe gets a cell phone, has Bart ever owned a bear?
revdrew - 2007-06-20
Sorry for the clip show
Caminante Nocturno - 2007-06-20
You have to give them credit for not killing their joke and actually writing an episode where Bart owns a bear. Although they sort of did an episode where Homer had a bear.

Since then they've also done 50% of the crazy wedding, with Grandpa marrying Selma (but not in a dress.)

Later in that episode, something happened and do do do do. Then they got a divorce.

Despite that, last season had some good episodes.

Okay that made me laugh.
Camonk - 2007-06-20
The funniest minute the show has known since the preachy Maude Dies episode.

Jump the shark.
Maxville - 2007-06-20
At least they're acknowledging the fact that the show stinks now (unless they're just being facetious).
drcrypt - 2007-06-20
Harry Shearer said point blank in an interview in 2004 that every season since the fourth has dropped in quality from the previous season. This clip's pretty funny, but gosh, remember when the Simpsons used to put actual effort into their musical numbers?

RockBolt - 2007-06-20
I would put the pinnacle of excellence on season 5, then a slow but noticeable downward coast though about 8, then nosedive for, god, 11 more seasons. It blows my mind how at this point the flat out unwatchably bad episodes completely outnumbers the classics

MK_Ultra - 2007-06-20
Harry Shearer is right. This show has been in a nose dive since the season where they went to New York.
Stopheles - 2007-06-20
Has Shearer really been talking shit on the show?

boner - 2007-06-21
It's something he said to the Irish Examiner I think.

+10 stars for Jump the Shark as the preload image. I have an odd respect for a show that freely admits it sucks.
Spit Spingola - 2007-06-20
Wow. God, the later stuff is so cringeworthy.
mr666 - 2007-06-20
Yeah, the later seasons are pretty bad half the time. But there are still some good episodes to be found.
coprolalia - 2007-06-20
I have an odd respect for a turd that freely admits it stinks.

I like how I grew to completely ignore this show.
Jingoro - 2007-09-05
When did that song even come out? Pathetic.
magical man - 2007-11-27
The video is down but it probably sucked anyway. Simpsons peaked in 1992-93. That was 15 years ago, people.
FABIO2 - 2008-04-04
I have no respect for something admitting it sucks, but not doing anything about it.
Harveyjames - 2008-05-27
The problem is if they end the show hundreds of people have to find new jobs, and I'm sure they all mostly love working on it, so it's a difficult decision for them to make.
