This idea is absurd for many reasons, but the idea that body cams are gonna solve police violence in general is also... flawed. Derek Chauvin knew he was being filmed when he murdered George Floyd, for example.

i think the idea is flawed, but this is a v bad argument. it's not reasonable to expect one solution to completely eliminate police violence - the idea would be to minimise or reduce it. further, the bodycam footage was instrumental in getting chauvin fired, and he's currently on charges of 2nd and 3rd degree murder, as well as manslaughter.
