It's come full circle from the pig fucking debut.

It's like poetry. They rhyme.

holy shit this show is stupid

casualcollapse - 2021-06-15

Well do tell . Or are we just doing blanket statements now?

apparently these two are the first two people to discover that the game could be used for fucking, even though that would have been discovered if the first five seconds of the game's release.

also the episode about the cut off a middle aged man's finger and claim it's from a young woman to get someone to fuck a pig

and the one where you can restore a clone of a person, including their memories, from a single sample of DNA, and there are no societal implications from this

also that you can be permanently trapped in a video game by switching it off at just the right moment, which would happen all the time, but is still allowed in a commercial product

you could pick apart almost every episode, yet this is a tv show for people who "fucking love science"

Multiplayer games have been used for fucking since before Ultima Online.

Singleplayer games have been used for fucking since this was discovered:

Black Mirror is at its best when reflecting on current and plausible near-future technology and how it could be abused in pathological, slippery-slope-type scenarios. Unfortunately, half of the episodes are, "man, what if you could, like, upload your brain into a computer", which isn't even remotely possible.

The only episode that does that concept justice is "Be Right Back", but even then it's implied that Robo-Gleeson has quite a few limitations.

"

I think no one knew about it in that episode. The guy who created it could make virtual worlds or some shit and so people knew about that part but the DNA computer clones thing no one else knew about it. That's why it came as such a shock to all the people that were trapped there.

Even the better episodes suffer from being too drawn out.

I can't recall a single episode that needed the entire hour to be told, and couldn't have been done as a half hour Twilight Zone episode.

and no clue what they were thinking making the pig-fucking episode the series premiere.

Gunny McRifleson - 2021-06-20

Nominal: What were they thinking? "Hey we need publicity!" And considering I heard about that for WEEKS, I'd say it worked.

Agreed on the episode lengths though. "Metalhead" is the only one that didn't feel drawn out.

Everyone heard about it, but how many actually said "A show with pigfucking? I need to check it out!"

Because I knew a ton of people who started with the first episode, then never bothered with it again because of that.
