Also the communities behind them are usually amazing.
Combined with mods for modern games like Minecraft and Kerbal space program, feels like all I play is mods nowadays. Who cares if tripleA games / console games are utter shite? We live in an unhearlded golden age of mods and indie games.
I'd actually play the shit out of this if I wasn't restricting myself to RL.
