I can't understand what's going on here. Why are the couples in the same car? Why did they get out at the restaurant that the woman in front seemed to be describing? Is the white couple kidnapping them, or merely being unbearable? Am I having a stroke?

I guess it was supposed to be "Look at the pathetic offerings other restaurants give you for '2 for $20'", but jesus christ what kind of cheap pig thinks 2 entrees and an appetizer is a ripoff at $20?
Wait, on second thought, that is the perfect message for a Golden Corral diner.

the tyranny of applebees had to be called out, i guess. i knew one farm family growing up who would only go to applebees when they went out of town to "the city". everything else was scary, unfamiliar and unreliable to them. the value angle would have bene the best way to get them to pop over, i imagine

I think your “yikes” is based on the assumption that Golden Corral is a fried chicken joint.
It’s a buffet, I’m sure fried chicken is there, but a buffet nonetheless.
How did this make it out of the hopper?
