Oh wow, fedsmoker was from Sweet Home, OR which is where my best friend growing up's grandpa lived. He had a tree farm that I spent quite a bit of time on growing up.
Wild. Les Schwab is a (super awesome) Oregon chain of tire shops; that clued me in.
Oh wow, Sweet Home. Not far from Albany, home to more child molesters per square mile than any place else on earth.
also, Les Schwab was the best place to get your car worked on in the whole PNW, but then they got bought out a couple years ago and I heard things went south.
also for les schwab iirc the cowboy hat clad owner died and his kids took over and fucked it all up, they probably shoulda been beaten with a steel belt
also i think they went through some controversy regarding the free beef promotion getting worse and worse until it mostly went away
now it's probably come in and buy some beef and get free tires

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest; capitalism tends towards monopoly, and the new owners are surely motivated to strip away everything that doesn't directly lead to short-term profits.
