I used to live next to this convenience store run by middle eastern people and they made this breakfast thing that was basically a 8" round piece of pizza dough with an egg cracked on it and cheese sprinkled over the top, then baked until the cheese was brown but the yolk was still a little jammy. Anyway those were great and I miss eating them.

Egg bread was what my family always called French toast.

jfcaron_ca - 2022-01-18 In French, at least in Quebecois French, french toast is called "toast dorée", i.e. golden toast, but with the word "toast" pronounced with a Quebecois accent more like "tow-ss" (and it's feminine so I kinda want to spell it "toaste".)
