I've never understood Randy or Gearbox's success. Their best product is the Borderlands games, which I thought were terrible by every metric.

5 stars for Civvie, he is the shit.

And they weren’t gearbox original either.

Gearbox is the company that buys your game when you go bankrupt from being overly ambitious. Then they release it 6 months later minus the ambition.

They got catapulted to stardom on handling the Halo PC ports, which apparently were jank and awful.

Which is perfect because Halo is the Randy Pitchford of games: inexplicable success and superstardom.

Civvie is one of my favorite game Youtubers right now. Him, Mandalore, and the "Death of a game" series.

I could never get into SSeth (comes too close to Encyclopedia Dramatica random nonsense humor).

Dunkey was great but slowly transformed into another PewDiePie.

Broteam had a great run of a few months before turning all their content into longplay streaming & screaming sessions.

Oh, and Game Dungeon

I love Civvie, for many reasons. Some of his videos, especially the one on Redneck Rampage, are cathartic.

I'm also big fan of Nerrel. His videos are cerebral as well as informative. I watched the one on Resident Evil 2 and camera angles at least a dozen times.

Gotta love The Completionist too. Watching a man in his 30s with grey in his beard get that excited over video games makes me feel better about being an old nerd.

And Matt McMuscles. Love "The State Of..." series, and it's great whenever he pairs back up with Liam.
