eastern PA/western NJ is the stoopidest fucking shitty driving anywhere. 80 gets closed down on the regular with post-apocalyptic scenes of carnage. The roads themselves are fine, it is just the right blend of anger and shit-stupid that makes people rushed and erratic pretty much full-time.
obviously there's extenuating circumstance here, but I'm not 100% convinced it wasn't going to happen if it had been clear.
