One of my vivid memories of being 4 years old was this show making me pretend to turn into a car by crawling on an ice patch in winter, without mittens because the cold would make it work.

Ended up getting 1st degree frostbite (the sunburn of frostbite) on my palms and a big yelling at by the daycare teacher.

Watching this clip now makes me realize what an idiot I was.

You need to be HOT to transform into a car, not cold.

When I was in college I had a friend who kept describing this show about a kid who turned into a car when he got wet. I mocked him and threw stones at him. Still he maintained that Turbo Teen existed.

I turned from him for his beliefs and aimlessly he wandered the campus for years upon years carrying the heavy cross of Turbo Teen shame, reviled by faculty and coed alike.

But lo, a message from PoeTV showed me the light! There did indeed exist a terrible cartoon whence a man becomes a car based on exposure to the elements! My faith restored, I reached out to my scorned friend to tell him that thanks to PoeTV's guidance I had found Turbo Teen.

Alas, I learned he had just that Friday expired, exhausted and spread-eagled across the hood of his mid-80s red Trans Am.

3 days later, I was mournfully returning his car to the dealership (it was a 3 year lease) when began a gentle rain. The car started to waver and lose form. Hastily I escaped the vehicle only to witness it metamorphose into the shivering form of my friend, once again among the living.

He rose slowly, confidently.

"I am driven" he intoned.
