Twitter's been around for years, and it might well end up being an albatross and not because of Elon's purchase. MySpace was once a big site and the wheels fell off. Geocities was bought by Yahoo! I believe for a billion dollars, and it died shortly thereafter, because people just grew out of junior web building.
Maybe Elon can do it, and I'm all for free speech.
What's with the studio announcer's microphone, it sounds ugly, her voice sounds like it was clipped, then repaired, then digitized, any audio pros here know? I've been hearing that sound lately in voices. Studio quality, even in major media has gone down hill in the past few years, even though we have high quality cheap microphones now.

Most of the white nationalists that organized and promoted that event were *VERIFIED* users on twitter (blue checks), and twitter was a haven for alt-right organizing before UTR.
These folks are coming back, and swastika flag waving neo-nazis are all over the platform again (and not being banned for their shit).
