Not because it's an accurate source of information, but because it's so god-damned fun and batshit crazy.

In one scene, Kevin Bacon, who is playing a gay male sex worker, gets weirded out watching Joe Pesci, playing Dave Ferrie dressed up as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, spank Tommy Lee Jones, playing Clay Shaw painted head to toe in gold paint and dressed as Mercury, messenger of the gods after they've all done amyl nitrate poppers.

You may ask, "What does any of that have to do with the assassination of President John F. Kennedy?"

According to Jim Garrison and Oliver Stone, it has EVERYTHING to do with the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
