DeLay as a reward for being a loyal and selfless worker for the people way out of proportion. In fact, by taking them I would say he's something of an American hero just like those troops who were sent to Iraq to stop bin Laden (who is totally irrelevant now by the way) from blowing up Washington DC.

What most people don't know is these pricks aren't being hypocritical...at least by their own logic.
What you need to understand about Republicans and conservatives in general is they believe human beings should be divided into social castes, like an insect colony. They believe their caste is the one that should be at the top, running the government & the economy. The worker caste, i.e. middle-class Americans, should work hard, pay their taxes and keep their mouths shut. The soldier caste, i.e. the numerous poor, should die willingly to protect the upper caste and maybe the worker caste, provided it doesn't leave the upper caste vulnerable.
If you don't believe me, just talk to one some time. It will become evident pretty quickly that they believe some people are "more equal" than others.
