I guess this is what it would be like if Tool videos had a point.
ABoyNamedCheese
Tool videos don't need a point. They are mesmerizing and thats all anyone should want a music video to be.

Also, I thought the "Fog and Rain in the City All Week" headline was a cute touch.

I absolutely love this animation and have loved it for years. The music is fantastically hopeless-sounding and therefore fantastically perfect.

YOU MEAN CONSUMERISM IS BA? I HAD NO IDEA

I mean, all those Tool music videos kinda hinted that maybe it was bad but I wasn't sure until I saw this
Rodents of Unusual Size
I don't think it was just CONSUMERISM BAD. The point was he lost what was special about himself when he tried to find happiness in doing to others what was done to him...it's symbolic for losing your humanity, and I think it's quite remarkable for an animated short film to say that much.

Billy Buttsex
Yeah, Xiphias... I think you oversimplified it. This was a pretty well-stated clip.

Holy shit, I remember seeing this on Toonami after Gorillaz and Daft Punk. Kind of a downer of an end-note, though.
Feyd
Meh. I get it. Each thing represents another thing while appropriate music accompanies grey.

Been trying to find this short for years. Thank you.
