I often wished that Burton had made a movie just like this, at the same time, that was focused more on Bela Lugosi.

I'm pretty sure this is the only Burton movie about anything resembling real, likable human beings.

I love this movie having been an Edward D. Wood Jr. convert since my youngest youth...it's pretty much the only Tim Burton film I think really showed an honest talent for filmmaking other than "LOOK AT HOW WEIRD AND RANDOM AND GOTH I AM!"

If you enjoyed this, though, I thoroughly recommend the fantastic documentary "The Haunted World of Edward D. Wood Jr." You can get it alone, or in Image Home Video's Ed Wood boxset. The boxset is super worth it even for a casual Wood fan as, at present, it only costs about -25.

Terrible film producers occupy the same place in our hearts that great film producers do, and the world is a better place because of both of them.
