anvill - 2007-08-20 I wonder if the creators of this film wanted their anti-Bush hero to come off as a pretentious, idealistic halfwit. I doubt it.
anvill - 2007-08-20 and it's a sad comment on myself that I use "idealistic" as a pejorative
Billy Buttsex - 2007-08-20 I think that by "indie," they meant "shitty."
insectburger - 2007-08-25 Looks a lot more imaginative than 95 percent of the indie stuff Iíve seen and more interesting than 75 percent of the Hollywood fodder.
It's certainly not Star Trek or Chuck Norris.
Actually, it seems to have a 60s/early 70's psychedelic feel, kind of like
"Tommy" or "Rock Horror" meets the Bush White House.
Since it's just a trailer, that's only a guess, but as it's obviously aiming for something artistic it will probably do awesome in a more receptive European market since we tend to automatically dismiss anything that ventures outside of the latest blockbuster mentality as pretentious and artsy fartsy .
For now, I'll give it a highest rating.
KnowFuture - 2007-08-27 Q: Is there enough marijuana on the planet to make this watchable?
Hell, if you can sit through "Hobgoblins" without Joel and the Bots holding your hand...
