But what about that title screen? Doesn't it say "Die Simpsons"?

Herr Matthias - 2007-09-11

You know, that's a really good point. I wonder how the HELL the "Die Bart Die" joke from Cape Feare got translated into German.

Rabid Vegan - 2007-09-11

Same as here, IIRC. Verbatim, then with a squeezed in german translation by the narrating character.

Camonk - 2007-09-11

Maybe in wherever the hell they talk those moon languages, Uruguay is just a funny-sounding name?

takewithfood - 2007-09-11

I mostly just enjoy hearing what is considered to be a moronic giggle in foreign languages.

ztc - 2007-09-11

NO LIKE SPANISH HOMER

eatenmyeyes - 2007-09-11

Du bist schwul! hehehe

Xiphias - 2007-09-11

The germans did it right, I think. Say it in English and then in German.

Germans are nature's problem solvers!

Camonk - 2007-12-30

That's good considering how many problems they cause.

OldScratch - 2007-09-11

The word 'Gay' is well understood in France, Italy and Germany. Most people in those countries can swear proficiently in American English. Even my Croatian friends used to end many conversations with a heavily accented, 'Elvis has left the building.' Very few people in Europe are going to have trouble with 'You are gay!' They know a lot more about us than we know about them. A LOT more.

I, Simpson.

that is a powerful title

Cube - 2007-09-11

Wow, the French Homer was the best I've heard so far... Not including the original, of course.

Herr Matthias - 2007-09-11

I thought Italian was the most amusing...

DA DA DA YOU'RE A GAY DA DA DA!!!
