Jesus wasn't real.... therefore 9/11 was committed by the Bush administration!

FatFatuousNation - 2007-09-22

Yeah, the rest was interesting, but the ending removes a star.

William Burns - 2007-09-22

Yeah, that seemed pretty wierd.

It's a segue into a whole segment where every major terrorist act ever was an inside job by the government. They lure you in with a lot of interesting but specious dogshit about Christianity and take you along for the rest of the paranoid ride. It actually depressed the hell out of me until I was able to digest it all.

last five seconds=...the fuck?

Crucifried - 2007-09-22

Interesting, but a lot of details seem to not make sense. Why would a Latin symbol that looks like an M make the Hindus name a virgin something starting with an M? And when, in the second part, they start quoting from the bible, he just tacks things on to make himself sound right, instead of offering more proof. So, while "He has risen again EVERY MORNING" makes it sound like Jesus and the Sun and Astrology are all connected, "He has risen again IN MY PANTS" makes Jesus sound like the narrators penis.

Also, I can't stand "Religion Sucks You're All Idiots Jesus Never Existed Ha Ha" Religion is slavery, and nothing good comes out of it, except when people are enlightened by it and actually put it's lessons to use, and use it to better understand the world.

Some solid stuff in the beginning, but also a lot of posturing and random conclusions.

This is just an excerpt from that stupid "Zeitgeist" movie that's been floating around the internet for some odd number of months.

It's two hours of nothing but this kind of bullshit. And random photoshop filters.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2007-09-22

I'm five starring this because the rest of the documentary was fascinating. I think the point they were trying to make is that mostly everyone believes things that they are told are true by governments and societies without question, and that is wrong. The link with 9/11 was unexpectedly trite, but that doesn't change the factual mythic evidence that supports the ideas they present.

Adramelech - 2007-09-22

Five-starred in principle, although I'm not a fan of the entire documentary in general as it leaves out too much important information for its scope. Not that most people would care anyway.

Ersatz - 2007-09-22

That's some lousy scholarship right there. How about the fact that the life of Jesus and Huckleberry Finn are essentially identical? What does THAT tell you?

coprolalia - 2007-09-22

Scholarship and schizophrenia both start with 'sch' and contain a few vowels! COINCIDENCE?

PegLegPete - 2007-09-22

If this kind of thing were done by the right people, with better research it would be awesome. As is, at least these three parts minus the last bit everyone is one-two starring the entire thing for - despite it being clear the submitter wanted to make sure we saw these first parts instead of the rest of the "documentary" for good reason apparently - give an adequate debunking of... messianic figures... not to name any names. And I don't feel bad or edgy for saying that because it's true. So stop one-starring the clips because the rest of the show is total crap, discuss the subject matter that is being presented. I'm grateful for all of the people who are letting me know what kind of people produced this documentary but please contribute something more.
