Mike Tyson?! - 2007-09-26
I clapped when Junor went around the parked car the 2nd time. I know people who study robotics in college and I know the hard time and work they put into all this. Good job guys, I appreciate you furthering man kind, I only wish I could help.

According to my C professor I am a terrible programmer, I'll just stand on the sidelines and cheer.

What are you talking about? All these fools are doing are hurrying the robot apocalypse! Its only a matter of time before some idiot gives this thing a gun of unimaginable power and a hunger for human flesh and we are all doomed!

Mike Tyson's C professor is a dick?

Also: DARPA is handing out 2 billion dollars for this, and the cars still run on gas? I call foul.

But I still appreciate the robots.

Yeah, those DARPA guys look like caddies.

It's funny, the idea of being killed by a robot car gone awry gives me far more nightmares that the infinitely more likely scenario of dying because of a drunk driver or cell phone jerk.

That's cause, hopefully, the robocar could be programmed to enjoy it. I mean, I know this whole, the inevitable murderous robot rise blah blah blah joke is kind of old. That's why I'm just hoping the scientists will just be like, fuck it, and make some crazy robot murderers. I think it'd make things interesting!

Can't wait for automatic robot killing machines. I bet MIT's machine could get around a parked car the first time.

It may not look like much, but this is a really hard problem for A.I.
