NO. they should never, ever humanize or expand upon a meme.
Hearing the kid speak and seeing him without his make-up on completely kills the joke - it unravels the awesomeness of the original clip. It is undone.
Thus, I hereby proclaim the kid and his meme UNAWESOME and recommend it be stricken from the public zeitgeist.

theFlu Talking exclusively about the kid was a means of examining how a meme is undone.
The paragraph was done as a sort of grim realization that the news is turning more and more to internet phenomenons (see MSN video news) to bolster their content, and in doing so, completely ass raping the "sanctity" of internet culture.

I find this news report to be so bizarre and surreal. If you think about what it's actually about, it's like a slow hissing dream you might have after watching Robocop. It means nothing but is actually happening.

I agree with the NEVER EXPAND UPON A MEME sentiments, but this gets five from me because every time they replayed the I LIKE TURTLES sound bite I still couldn't help myself from loling in spite of the meme-killing humanization.
