Not that I enjoy playing Monday Morning Quarterback, but he probably would've won the duel if he had taken the Dragon Sword with him.
But if his dad had won, we wouldn't have had any Ninja Gaiden games to enjoy.

It's especially uncool when your dad is a ninja who runs around wearing bright orange. It's a wonder he didn't get killed years ago.
Don't let Godfrey Ho hear you say that.

man, if any of you watched the NG1 run through in the related videos, doesn't the "mineshaft" level theme kick ass?
Just because you didn't see him at all those little league games doesn't mean he wasn't there.
he'd be a pretty lousy ninja if he was seen

Get out of here!"

They produced a novella for this game, and I read it.
I did too. I also remember it was Schoolastic approved, which means it was very educational and we are better people for having read it.

I remember that book. Everytime he got in trouble he spontaniously gained a new Dues Ex Machina superpower. It was great.

"Oh shit...tigers! Oh, wait, I just remembered I can shoot fire!"

Minus one star because this game brings back MANY HOURS OF FRUSTRATING MEMORIES.
It really was an awful game. The only reason anyone remembers it is because it was a lot of people's first game with cutscenes.
