I think you miss how this show works. They try and prove a point and with the leftover time they blow shit up. It's simple.

The Discovery Channel is good for quasi-educational entertainment. I just hate the goddamn ghost shows. And thetorical "Are UFOs Among Us?" shit. But I love quality junk food science. "Could 200 Confederate soldiers defeat Henry V?" "What happens when you put thermite on stuff", "Forensics: The Gruesome Detectives" etc.
