Not so much as a nod of reference to Cal Worthington.
I see Spumco is still struggling in vain to figure out what a joke is.

Nice song and great animation but what the hell?
Spumco has the best design team.
But is trying just a wee bit hard to be "outrageous".

I didn't make it ten seconds in, it looks vile.
Well, that was terrible, and not in the good, hearty POE way.
Bah, this is great.
Awful. These guys stole the SPUMCO style and the SPUMCO gags but apparently no one told them it wasn't 1991 anymore.
I don't know if I liked that or not!
I know I didn't laugh at all, though :|
YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG.
I don't think that anyone would accuse SPUMCO of being subtle, but by comparison, their early stuff certainly was.
I don't even want to touch on whether or not the choice of a MALE actor to do the voice of a cow constitutes some weird intentional/unintentional/ostensibly unintentional humor thing. The idea isn't disturbing, it's tiresome.
It was more disturbing in the (terrible) movie Barnyard because you got the impression the creators weren't consciously aware of the implications. Here, it seems like they're trying for shock value but have no idea how to go about it.
Xenocide's right - the "shock value" failed; it's directly on-par with the unfunny SpikeTV episodes of Ren and Stimpy - namely the "anal sex" scene:

I just don't know what to say or think.
That was the most fucking terrible thing I have ever seen.
I watched this about 10 or 15 times in the last 24 hours and sung the song all day. Differnet strokes for different folks, I totally dig this. I bet that just pisses in your cornflakes, huh?
Well, that was certainly something.
Of course it gets 5 stars.
