Civil rights?

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-01-26

It really is like breaking into his house and robbing him, only what they're robbing him of...

... Is his dignity!

By the way, am I wrong in believing that Team Fortress 2 is very civil in general?

citrusmirakel - 2008-01-26

Actually, the second segment sounded like it would've been better. TF2 does always come across as more civil to me, but it's also a game with the ability to mute players. Does Halo not have this feature?

Follow up question: If Halo doesn't have this feature, why doesn't it have this feature?
Additional question: If Halo does have this feature, why aren't you using it?

Adramelech - 2008-01-26

You can mute people on virtually any Xbox Live game, including Halo. In fact, Halo 3 added a "quick mute" shortcut which allows you to mute individual players in about two seconds during the game, as well as completely block communications with them account wide.

This guy is pretty much just a giant douchebag.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2008-01-26

-50 stars for recording this shit with a cell phone camera

EvilHomer - 2008-01-26

What a stpuid nigger. Someone should put a lynch his door.

Also, CIVIL RIGHT TO PLAY VIDEO GAMES. Fight the power, 35 year old fat man who won't let his kid play Halo because the bullies are mean to daddy!

baleen - 2008-01-27

he's a total fag. tea time.

Smellvin - 2008-01-26

Calling for the FBI to police people saying stupid things over the internet... Did they pay these people to say these things or do they actually believe that?

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-01-26

Quick! To the Teenangel Room!

Also, the dramatic music accompanying his description.

FatFatuousNation - 2008-01-26

they call me a faggot and say they're going to rape my ass oh my god why doesn't the FBI step in

kingarthur - 2008-01-26

Can we get Phil's license revoked for WIDELY overstepping his scope of practice? It's about damn time.

Smellvin - 2008-01-26

I don't think he has any "license" nor is he technically a doctor by any stretch of the term.

IrishWhiskey - 2008-01-26

The scope of his practice is stupid sensationalist bullshit that scares soccer moms and has no bearing on real psychology. Trust me, he's well within his rights.

Also, after checking the Wiki on him, he does have a psych degree, but he played football in college. In one such game his team lost by a score of 100 - 6.

100 - 6!

Now I want to see the video of THAT game.

kingarthur - 2008-01-27

From the wiki, which goes on to mention the FTC investigation into his weight-loss business:

The Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists imposed disciplinary sanctions on McGraw on January 27, 1989 for an inappropriate "dual relationship" reported in 1988 by a therapy client/employee from 1984. McGraw was ordered by the Board to take an ethics class, pass a jurisprudence exam, complete a physical evaluation, undergo a psychological evaluation and have his practice supervised for one year in order to continue his private practice in Texas. McGraw admits to giving the client a "job" at his office (which is not allowed), but denied carrying on a sexual relationship with the 19 year old, who says their relationship was "sexually inappropriate."[28][2][11] As of 2008, McGraw has not completed the conditions imposed by the Board of Examiners of Psychologists,[29] and he is not licensed to practice psychology in Texas, California or anywhere else.[30]

So, he don't have a license anyway.

Benzene265 - 2008-01-27

Everyone involved is wrong.

Microsoft is wrong for admitting that they won't even look into a complaint before getting 10 of them. I'd never tell a paying customer that I was that understaffed.

The griefers were wrong for being poor losers, if if Terry was indeed winning.

Terry's wrong because he probably did absolutely everything in his power to draw text-based fire. He probably even told them "Hey, I AM Black, and I have a family, so there!" as a response to a fit from an angry gamer.

Dr. Phil is wrong for sensationalizing the internet.

Dummy Rum - 2008-01-27

Hell, I've been called the 'n-word' on Halo 2. Then again, my Xbox Live username is Mr. Nigga.

Xenocide - 2008-01-27

I love the ominous music while the guy is complaining. "MY KIDS CAN'T PLAY HALO WITH ME. THIS IS THE WORST INJUSTICE EVER."

Enjoy - 2008-01-27

Just so we're all super clear here: this is to set up a civil rights lawsuit against Microsoft and Sony to make this man-boy rich.
