Jokes on anyone who believed the little notes in the video, the guy who made them just "socially engineered" you. ^_^

I never understood why they got a hick to host a show about California.

It's because Huell Howser is amazed by everything he sees, and this makes for cheap, incredible entertainment.

I remember one episode he was randomly talking to people on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, including some little girl whose parents just dumped her in front of some shop in the hopes that record producers would come by, and then she was supposed to sing for them. He got her to sing on camera and she was beyond screechingly horrible. This was more than a decade before American Idol. He captures the pathetic and odd, all in an encouraging voice that makes me love and admire him, but I don't know if he knows how concious he is of how hilarious the people that he talks to usually are.

I say we strap him down and offer his flayed skin to Xipe Totec. The reporter, I mean.

I like how surprised he is that there's "free enterprise" going on at the border. I guess the Mexican dudes are far enough way from the Comrades down in Mexico City, huh?
