Caminante Nocturno - 2008-03-14
The way he talks totally makes up for the heavy-handedness of it.

Hey kids, we're satire too
|
Scynne - 2008-03-14 Contrived satire at that.
|
|
Jeff Fries - 2008-03-14 The radio in the first one was my favorite part of the game, but the more successful and controversial Rockstar has become, the more they cling to "satire" like a life preserver. It's bogus.

Adramelech - 2008-03-14 How's life up there on the moon?
|
|
FABIO2 - 2008-04-05 How is this any better than American McGee's Bad Day LA "satire" ?
|
Stog - 2008-03-14
But I don't read so good!
|
manfred - 2008-03-14
It's funny because it's true!

Cinnamon Imperialist - 2008-03-14
I love how at 0:36-0:39 the guy in the red shirt has a 5 frame running animation.
|
Cinnamon Imperialist - 2008-03-14 Also, if you watch this in higher quality you see that the LCPD coat of arms is a donut and a cup of coffee. How's THAT for cutting-edge law enforcement humor?

Harveyjames - 2008-03-15 (I didn't mean to 5 star this)

Can't wait

Adham Nu'man - 2008-03-14
It's too soon!

Ranma X. - 2008-03-14
Seriously, you're gonna criticize a GTA game for having heavy-handed, cliche cop jokes? Hell, if you consider the '04 RNC Convention, its not too far off the mark.
Besides the end graphic is like every single NYPD recruitment poster on the subway combined.

Jefka - 2008-03-14
Say what you will about the social commentary found in a game geared toward stealing and shooting shit, I love Rockstar's voice acting.
|
Harveyjames - 2008-03-15 It sounds like one of the programmers putting on a funny voice!
|
dancingshadow - 2008-03-14
Can't wait.

glasseye - 2008-03-14
Hilarious.

Adramelech - 2008-03-14
Oh good, I was getting a bit worried there with all the serious trailers so far.
|
citrusmirakel - 2008-03-14
Ham-fisted is how I like my social satire, thankyouverymuch.
|
Camonk - 2008-03-14
They do write games better than they write jokes over at Rockstar, don't they? Did they--did they finally learn to do that?
|
StanleyPain - 2008-03-14
What I can't wait for in GTA4 is the talk radio station where they culled 90% of the material from people calling in to a real phone number and encouraging you to act like a Freeper on speed.
|
|
StanleyPain - 2008-03-16 really. I can't remember the number or anything, but about a year ago Rockstar set up a web-page for a fake Conservative talk radio show and encouraged people to call in and speak their mind. They were going to use some of the material from that for the in-game talk radio channel. Obviously, it will only comprise a certain amount of the channel since all you did was leave a message, but still..it was a cool idea.
