The movie itself contains a great deal of spirit animal spirit talk. This is a must have VHS in any m'lady renfairian video collection. You wonder if the director just said to Rutger, "You know, do that thing you did on the roof of that one movie, you know, with the rain."

The movie itself wasn't all that furry, but I'm sure furries have ruined it by now.

The story is about a knight and his lady love who are cursed by an evil bishop who lusts after the lady. After sunset, the knight turns into a wolf. After sunset, the lady turns into a hawk. The curse can only be broken if the bishop sees the knight and the lady together in their human forms at the same time.

Mediocre movie overall. Excellent performances by Rutger Hauer & Michelle Pfeiffer fail to counterbalance the presence of Matthew Broderick and the heavy renfaire vibe.

You know, just because a movie has animals and people turning animals or whatnot doesn't make it furry. Plus, furry subculture was just a greasy stain somewhere when this came out. It predates all that shit.
So, furries can adopt it if they want, but fuck em.

The movie is actually not that bad.
