Xenocide Every two years Germany manages to put out one incredible film. Which may not seem like much, but they're always better than anything we put out that year.
Other examples: Goodbye Lenin, The Lives of Others, and of course, Das Boot.

I really hope that we get over WW2 someday so we can have a proper WW2 movie from the German perspective. The losers in a war are always more interesting.

I'd rather see a Vietnam flick from the Vietnamese perspective, but that runs into the same problem.
