This is the Minneapolis Children's Theater Company? I have a truckload of lifelong traumatic memories from their productions. They thrive on damaging children's psyches. Greatest theatre troupe ever.
So...a "for kids" production of Equus?

Yep, this is from them.

You know they have PSAs to keep you from treatin' a baby that way.
I really need to double check if I'm logged in before submitting stuff.

My brothers turned me on to this. They went to Blockbuster once to pick something appropriate out while tripping, and stumbled across it. It.. didn't go over too well.
If you ever want something even more out there, check out "Jan Svankmajer's Alice". Live-action and creepy stop-motion.

I played the King of Hearts in this production when I was 10 years old.
The theater class I was in was all female, except me.
I forgot all of my lines on opening night and had to endure 10-11 year old girls attacking me backstage verbally seriatim until I cried. This clip reminds me of the nightmare of girls at that age, and of how parents forcing you to take acting lessons is one of the worst things to do to a child.
