+5 for awesome 8' diameter Lego boulder, -3 for idiotic nerdy Indiana Jones angle. Like you need a dumb theme to justify constructing that thing.

Pretty sure this is an attempt at viral marketing for the Kingdom of the Glass Skull (or maybe the new Indiana Jones Lego game). Some hints:

* This is their only submitted video. Ever.

* Side camera angle at 1:03 looks completely faked (aka, not candid--they probably set it up and shot it before rolling the ball down the hill).

* No one is stupid enough to roll a boulder down a street without clearing it first.

* Lack of some stupid tag at the end or the beginning declaring this to be an 'X Company' production (where X hereby equals any random string of syllables or fart jokes).

There are tons of other reasons, but I'm all ready posting way too fucking much for the poetv comment section. Withholding my vote until clarification comes.

I thought about the Lego Indy game right away when I saw the link. I'm sure thats what they were going for. If I were rolling a giant Lego ball in a public street, i'd be long gone if I hit a car with it.

Yes, viral marketing.

I don't think so, only time will tell. They made the account two years ago, and have no other submissions, which makes me think maybe not. If it's viral marketing, it's viral marketing of their own glory. People do actually do weird shit like this without being paid, but it's at the center of a SAN FRANCISCANDAL on the blogs.

Also not actually Legos. Styrofoam core and as one dude in the Gizmodo forums points out, in a real lego construction the patterns would wrap around somewhat at corners, meaning they glued on the patterns.

Even though it's viral marketing .. the concept is still cool. But whatever, downvote it if you want.
