i really enjoyed a lot of mike episodes, so i decline judgement on that tricky subject. That said, you really have to love the way when he gets some boring flat dialogue he decides to say it like a tired, sarcastic crackhead

Joel was nothing more than a prop comedian who used the show as an outlet for himself. Mike was one of the original writers. I think he made a better host in the long run.

i could make a concrete decision on the dr. forrester / brain guy debate though.

Both Mike and Joel work perfectly well, it's really just a matter of the viewer's personal preference.

However, Mike is better.

Bill Corbett made for an EXCELLENT replacement for Crow!

I'm one of the few people who enjoyed Season 7 Pearl.

Pearl on Sci-Fi was just annoying, but Bobo and Brain Guy were kewl.

Frank was a better Forrester sidekick than Josh, but the Tom Servo voices are on pretty even footing.

We needed more episodes with Steffi the Babysitter! *rowl!*

Read any of Mike's books & then look how bad the last mst3k seasons sucked.

I dunno, Pearl Forrester grew on me after a while, though she never had the perfect foil that was TV's Frank. Brain Guy and Bobo were admirable attempts though.

Nowadays it's even more pointless. They both pretty much have the little dancing clown pointing at the correct file, and the debate has essentially devolved into what color the clown's hat should be.

OH GOD. I hate the Mac/IBM comp. debate (and kudos for calling it an IBM compatible instead of 'PC'), yet I also hate Macs and use one.

I hate them because a minority of the users are aggressively self satisfied about their variant of juggling clown and their typical inability to operate anything more complex than iTunes or a photo editor.

And that's my two cents and my cognitive dissonance.
