These stars are only for Cab dancing on the parapet of a skyscraper balcony. I hate Al Jolson. I hate his look, his physical bearing, his annoying phrasing, everything about him.
Al Jolson is like someone possessed by a demon bent on ENTERTAINING you -- this can be good or bad. I like the art deco skyscraper model.

4 stars for Cab. I'd prefer the owlet to Al Jolson tho.
I don't hate Jolson myself, but Cab completely blows him away entertainment-wise.
I found Jolson amusing in this clip mostly because it seems like he didn't figure out that in movies you don't have to project to the back balcony.
I liked the cartoon owl's version better.
That looks like an extravagant set for the time.
