Not enough stars in the universe for this. My single greatest childhood moment was my 7th Grade year end class pizza party, at Godfather's Pizza. Four of us arrived, each bearing in quarters, loading down our trousers. In a frantic, two hour play frenzy, we beat it. The four of us went on to the rest of our high school lives, silently knowing that nobody else in that school had done it.

I still see those guys. And we still remember that glorious day, 15 years ago.

This story sounds familiar. Did you grow up in Castle Rock?

cognitivedissonance - 2008-07-11

Centralia!

freedoom - 2008-07-11

Isn't Centralia the town in central PA that has an underground coal fire that has been burning for like 50 years?

Cena_mark - 2008-09-07

Ah yes, I beat it as well. There was a place in Doraville called "Great Games" one day they had a deal where you could pay 10 dollars to play all the arcade games you wanted. I suck at video games, but I beat it with tons of free continues.

Mr. Smithers.

kiint - 2008-07-11

moaning lisa?

Xenocide - 2008-07-11

For my money this is the greatest beat 'em up of all time.

So much personality and so many gags and references to the show, it was almost impossible to catch them all on your first play-through.

Also, Smithers is a caped jewel thief/mad bomber who kidnaps babies and Mr. Burns dies at the end. Excellence.

Even today, I'm surprised at how good this game is. You just don't expect it.

chumbucket - 2008-07-11

this game looks amazing, i want now

uekibachi - 2008-07-11

i remember this game. this was the first time i was ever called a fag because i wanted to be marge. but it was just logic. i could hit people with a. hands, b. a skateboard, c. a jump rope, or d. a vacuum. i just wanted to win. i had no idea that things like that didnt matter in a game. oh well. that guy is fat now and lives in south dakota. god i love facebook. my mom is even on it now.

uekibachi - 2008-07-11

oh and stars!

If you're going to record a video with MAME you should at least do it so the audio doesn't skip the whole time.

tamago - 2008-07-13

This and the TMNT side scroller arcade were the main devourers of quarters in my youth.

fluffy - 2008-08-10

I like how it starts out with a sample from the TV show and then very subtly but obviously transitions over to shitty early-90s FM terror.

When I was 7 me and my friends thought Homer's hobby of'Bowlin' a big one' was the height of comedy.
