funny clip , well played by Colbert (as usual), ok performance

BUT

ummm did NAS just say something about it not being his fault he was busted for gun possession? Maybe he didn't specifically say that but wow: "how did those guns get there?" ok, I think you had some money, you gave it to a dude and he gave you the gun...how is that?
kennydra - 2008-07-25
I think he was just saying, in a way that related to the topic at hand, how people (fox news and other alarmist douchenozzles) are focusing on a symptom of a problem and not the cause i.e. rapping about gun violence is inherently bad, lets not question why there's gun violence or why minors have guns we just shouldn't talk about it. which is actually pretty much what he did say right after that.

+2 for reggin please.

ah ok, that feels better and seems to fit more with the right-media spinsters.

I like "douchnozzles". I'll use that in a sentence sometime today. Thanks!

I like Colbert, I hate Fox News, and I'm hipster enough to enjoy Dr. Dre and Snoop, but I don't care for Nas or Nas's music. He has the same reactionary world outlook as Reverend Wright, and "One Mic" was one of the worst songs I was ever submitted to as teenager watching MTV.
zerosnones - 2008-07-25
Oh my god, a white nerdy dude does not like reactionary black doods!?!

And we all know it takes "hipster cred" to listen to Dre and Snoop!

FatFatuousNation - 2008-07-25
I plea nolo contendere on your charges, but Nas's music still sucks.

chairsforcheap - 2008-07-25
you're insane. illmatic is the quintessential hipster rap album...

Erix - 2008-07-26
I SAW A BLACK MAN TALKING.

ONE STAR.

Also saying you're "hipster enough" for anything makes you a douchebag. Automatically.

futurebot - 2008-07-26
How in god's name is Nas "reactionary"?

juiceboxtheeverliving - 2008-07-26
you're just one of the 85% who are mentally deaf, dumb and blind. nas has skills and says some real shit. snoop is a smoothe motherfucker, but he isn't really sayin anything. illmatic is one of the best albums of all time. blows any snoop or dre shit out of the water.

like wu said, : "givin sight to the blind, the dumb are mostly intrigued by the drum." twats like you don't give a shit about lyrics or wordplay anymore.

also to say any nas song is the worst you've heard is a fucking ignorant ass thing to say

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-07-25
If Bill O'Reilly is implying that Naz's criminal gun possession is a bad thing, then he is advocating banning all guns.

It's on record.

I will pop the truth in your ass!

This song ranks up with Bomani "D'mite" Armah's work.
lolcoolj - 2008-07-25
I love to hear him rap, but I hate to hear him talk.
glenn - 2008-07-25
Are there any musicians that aren't disappointing to hear speak? It seems pretty universal.
