She has a point, but she also comes across as holier than thou and preachy. Also, that preaching is to the choir, because I sincerely doubt Lil' Weezy and Dre are listening to slam-poets such as herself. As much as I love socially aware artists, so much of it seems like self-congratulatory masturbation sometimes. At least when artists like Sage Francis and Talib Kweli speak on these topics, they do it over a good beat and try to get it to the audience that needs to hear it.
