So foreign oil is controlled by our enemies? Canada is an enemy now? Shouldn't this guy maybe crack a book or at least look at wikipedia before he speaks?
And Kudos to the Republicans for fighting for any energy policy that still wants to drill our way out of it (when we can't) but doesn't really do much to get nuclear energy or hydroelectric or solar or wind. After all, the 21st Century J. P. Morgans aren't buying out congress without a reason.

It's working since Obama just approved their offshore drilling plan, but I think it's pretty much a bluff for voters that can't absorb more than one factoid at a time, which make up about 51% of voters..

I must admit I don't get it...
I thought (some) oil companies already had land to drill domesticly, but choose not to. Therefore, giving them offshore drilling rights isn't really about supply for us, but more about more land options for them.
Or I could be totally high...

I can't think of anything in politics which has infuriated me more in a long time than th is absolute canard pulling in the idiot voter. A zillion fucking facts showing that it will save a whopping nickel off a gallon of gas in ten to fifteen years and this is STILL a winning issue for the GOP.
