Five stars for criticizing degenerate art.

I'm sorry, I have no sympathy for people who claim to "not get" Woody Allen movies and the jokes therein. What the fuck IS there NOT to get? Serious question.

buttnutt - 2008-08-06

Well there's a huge difference between the Woody Allen movies of the 70s and the Woody Allen movies of today.

Camonk - 2008-08-06

Yeah, I honestly didn't think Match Point was that funny. I'm sorry, man. Those jokes definitely went over my head.

Hay Belly - 2008-08-06

The only thing I don't get about Woody Allen is how he got all those beautiful women to sleep with him. He must have +5000 charisma.

Merkwuerdigeliebe - 2008-08-06

There were jokes in Match Point?

HarrietTubmanPI - 2008-08-06

Woody Allen = automatic 5

You have done a great service to mankind by skewering these sorts of people, Woody. You may now sleep with as many of your own children as you desire.

Hay Belly - 2008-08-06

Soon-Yi was Mia and Andre' Previn's daughter, not Woody's. But go ahead and spout off more of what you don't know. And of course Soon-Yi has no say in the matter either, he must lord over her like you think all Asian women should be mastered.

wtf japan - 2008-08-06

That Woody could lord over anyone is patently absurd. No, I meant in the event that Mr. Allen produces biological offspring, he may seek to have intercourse with them as this particular sin has been preemptively absolved by his comedic performances.

Woody appreciates your defense of his right to diddle OTHER people's children, however, and, as a token of gratitude, you can expect to receive your very own autographed nude portrait of Soon-Yi in 3-5 business days.

I've never understood why this movie is so forgotten and left out of Allen's catalog in so many discussions. It's probably one of his best.
