For it to count as a Ponzi scheme, the investors must be led to believe that they ARE being paid from revenues generated by the investment, rather than later investors' contributions. There has to be no other income coming in aside from the investment itself.

The government has plenty of other sources of income beside the SS tax, and more importantly has never led anyone to believe that today's SS checks aren't funded by younger workers. Therefore it is not a Ponzi scheme. "Scheme" implies a fundemental deception about where your check comes from.

Actually Billy, we aren't supposed to use Social Security as an emergency fund as we've been doing. The Republican Congressional takeover of the 90's basically used Social Sec as a rape toy and borrowed heavily from it, their intend of course was to bankrupt it, as it has always been.

And you bring up a very interesting point. We do not have enough young taxpayers to pay for our aging population, as you have turned yourself into a white person, this should concern you. It's not just social security, it's pensions, it's the entire social compact that ends up being several trillion dollars of consumer dollars. We need those immigrants. This goes against what many of my Union friends would say, but it actually embraces conservative libertarian ethics in a lot of ways. The GOP has no clear idea of what they're saying. They are terrified of all th new people coming in and ruffling their colors, at the same time this economy and the future of our senior citizens would look pretty dim without a constant influx of hard working, YOUNG cheap laborers.

If you'd like to change this course, try to encourage every white family to have ten babies, workforce babies, because that's what it's going to take to thwart this onslaught of people taking our fruit picking jobs.

You forgot to mention raising the retirement age only a few years as a solution. It would make it solvent, even though its understandably not a popular suggestion.
