Was too old for Lion King and hated the Jurassic Park movie so their respective video game tie-ins were off the menu.

I actually played through to the end of Bad Street Brawler simply because that game was so hilarious. It becomes a lot easier once you realise you can actually just walk past all the enemies and go straight to the boss in every level.

Every ending in the NES days and before pretty much sucked by today's standards. But what could they do, really? They didn't have much to work with. Today they have fucking full motion video.

Innocent Bystander A lot of old games still had great endings. I think Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past had a long montage showing how the world got better after you beat Ganon.

I thought the worst NES game ending was the one to Ultima: Exodus. You leave the shambolic castle and bango, staff roll.
Other games may have had similar "endings" (or lack thereof), but this one was so much worse because you had to sit through Ultima: Exodus to achieve it.
