I tried to find a clip with the banana dance, but this is good enough.

You know, Chris Elliots' semi-fictional murder novel "Shroud of the Thwacker" actually provides a decent laugh-per-page ratio.
It's no literary triumph, but delivers more than you'd expect from a turn-of-the-century historical themed murder mystery, which stars Theodore Roosevelt, and also was also written by a drunken Chris Elliot.
Check it out, folks. Chris has bills to pay.

Oh lord that is pure concentrated lovely failure. I was happy to have watched this show in the mid 80s when Elliot was a regular. He gives comedy 110% even when he can only bring 10% to the table. A true funnyman. Also buy his book.
I don't get a bonus or anything, I just hate being the only person who bought his murder book, besides his family.

"No... I shouldn't have done that..."
Also, a great book that I think is sadly out of print is "Daddy's Boy" which was co-written with his father, Bob Elliot. Hard to find, but so worth tracking down.

I've always considered Elliot and Letterman a great comedy combo meal

That guy - 2014-11-15 There was something magical about killing network time with major dumbfuckery back then.
It means nothing now.
