That's a smart damn bird... he wasn't drinking much of it. Most of the video was of him rubbing it on his feathers. Those same birds--usually jays, crows, etc-- will harass the nests of a certain species of ant to provoke them into secreting an acid that proves fatal to parasites on the birds. I wouldn't be surprised if alcohol had the same effect.
