As a child, I was upset that there was only one episode of this.

Oh, shit, I remember this. It was part of an attempt at a big multimedia franchise (back before those were everywhere) by Lucasarts. The cartoon was made to tie-in with a Defenders NES game and comic book. Only the game was a horrible, unplayable broken mess which sold about three copies, thus nipping the franchise in the bud.

The comic, on the other hand, was actually pretty good. It was by the same guy who created Sam & Max.

Glad to see this again, as I had all the comic books.

Not as good as The Toxic Crusaders, but definitely pretty awesome.
