IrishWhiskey This is one of my favorite movies, but I'm not fond of this scene.
Its out of place and goes on too long. And its a classic case of a particularly famous star demanding his own special scene to show off.
trinitron Bud Ekins did the jump and the slide, not McQueen.
IrishWhiskey I know. But the scene was still added because McQueen held up production, demanding a bigger role in the film. And he accepted a part on the movie only on the condition that he get to show off his motorcycle skills.
OgreMkIV My wife still doesn't understand why this flick just rawks, but then again, it's a guy movie.
