Also, I guess if your only reason for having a baby in the first place is to get attention then creepy fake babies are better than having real ones.

Further, I was once accused of making these scary things. I do not. I merely pointed them out once and somehow somebody on POE thought I made it. I like uncanny-valley facsimile babies even less than the real thing.

I discovered this subculture through a bizarre news item about police breaking into cars to save these lifelike dolls in England and Australia. Too bad it was rather dated.

Just about every related video is a wellspring of uncanny discomfort and occasional crazy.
