KI always struck me as very... wooden in comparison to it's contemporaries. I can't be any more specific then that.

KI was shit. It was really only noteworthy and popular for it's then-noverl 3d graphics and for being one of the first fighting games to really put emphasis on the combos and being able to get multi-hit extravaganzas.

KIG was a huge letdown, Nintendo and Rare had hyped it as a combination of both KI1 and KI2 with extra stuff but all we got was a watered-down version of KI2.
Even cut out the variable endings that depended on whether you had killed or spared rival/allied characters.
That said, what is the point of these Clinton Years reviews? He refers to "we" several times, he has a whole crew working on these bland things?

I liked killer instinct :( I wouldnt have played it on the 64 though. KI2 on the snes is where it's at.
Still, amost any other sprite based vs fighting game beats it, including mugen.
