Yeah, the fact that Mr. Rogers always acknowledged that kids got angry and had thoughts about it, and then would tell them it was okay was really great. So the tags and description are kind of douchey, but the actual content is old school, awesome Mr. Rogers.

Nothing to do with your childhood and everything to do with the fact that Rogers genuinely seemed to live the life of fairness and compassion that he tried to instill in his audience.

And in an attempt to sort of de-saintify Mr. Rogers a bit: if you were raised on TV, you could have done a hell of a lot worse.

I honestly was not raised on Mr. Rogers. When I was a kid I spurned him for Double Dare. He earned my respect recently. Far be it for me to criticize someone for 'bad taste', but I guess it struck a personal nerve. Like, "No Mr. Rogers, dark fantasies are not okay and children that have them are evil. For saying otherwise you yourself are insane."
