This came on the late night creature feature when I was little (five or six) and it scared the shit out of me. It didn't help when that episode of Johnny Quest with the invisible monster came on the week after.
At that time, my family was living in a recently-built subdivision and our back yard butted up against a huge dense forest. Sometimes the wind would shake a patch of trees leaving those around it undisturbed. I was convinced this meant the invisible monster was pushing his way through the woods and I would run inside to hide. This lasted about a month.
