I nearly shat myself at the end there.

4 stars because I like magic but I have seen a lot of these tricks. :(

This is the real kind of magic.

biclops - 2008-10-26 The magic of having well-rehearsed plants?
|
IrishWhiskey - 2008-10-26 I've seen these tricks explained by cold reading and basic principles of psychology. As far as I know, none of them require plants.
Plants and camera tricks are bull, but the mind's propensity to deceive itself is fascinating.

Those aren't plants.
|
biclops - 2008-10-26 The woman wasn't a plant. He tapped her back and brushed her arm with some string or something (you can see him loop it around a finger). For the pressure release arm movement thing YOU CAN SEE HIS FUCKING LEG MOVE UP AND DOWN TO COMMUNICATE!
You people are fucking ridiculous.

Explain the glass bottle! I must know!
|
Coax_Current - 2008-10-26 The TED is a joke, and so is this. 3 stars for the last trick and the guy wanting to save his good hand.

Syd Midnight - 2008-10-28 The thing is, it was fun watching him do it, and that was his lamest trick. The wiki article isn't fun, and now the trick can never be fun again, but it was fun when he did it.

The last trick was cool, but the rest of it was pretty standard 2-bit mentalist crap, except for the bottle trick which was a 2-bit magician's trick that is widely available for sale.

I've actually seen that last trick fail. The audience was somewhat less impressed.
