The camera angles and terrible overacting suck, but this is why I watch Olbermann.
I don't have to reach far to see married couples and children whose families were spat on and torn asunder by this stupid Proposition. Let alone the one in Arkansas that took adopted children away form 'unmarried' parents. War, racism, burning witches, rejecting science and tearing apart families, is not Christian, no matter how much you tell me otherwise.

takewithfood - 2008-11-10 No, I'm sorry, I can't get over the overacting. His forced emotion pisses all over what is actually a very important issue. I don't care how much I agree with his point - it's ruined for me every time he chokes up like a kicked puppy.
|
IrishWhiskey - 2008-11-11 I agree. Its just too bad my standards are so low now, that anyone who even addresses the issue from a human rights perspective gets my support.
Please God, let this Administration earn my contempt and mockery. In other words, let it be such that I'm working and criticizing for it to be better than it is, and not just hoping they aren't data-mining my phone-calls and covering up evidence of dinosaurs.

Oh Keith, you overdramatic, libbity liberal you.
|
theSnake - 2008-11-11
Overly dramatic? Oh that Martin Luther King was such a rabble rouser! And Susan B Anthony, why didn't she just make me a sandwich?
|
DMKA - 2008-11-11 No...no you did not just compare Keith Olbermann to Susan B. Anthony and Martin Luther King Jr.
I refuse to believe anyone is this stupid.

I can't really rate this. I agree with his point but he lays it on embarrassingly thick. I stop believing he is genuine once the melodrama passes a certain mark (usually really early in his special comments), which in turn begins to sap credibility out of his message.

I normally can't look past all the bluster. This time i could. Good for you, Olbermann. You hit it bang on.

But God hates boysex. Jesus said kill the fags. It's in the Bible. I know because the preacher told me.
(Also, Keith manages to impress me at last)

Come on, people, the guy has some genuine emotion about an emotional issue. He also nailed it. I just hope this special comment made it into the living rooms of a few people who voted yes on Prop 8 and embarrassed the fuck out of them.

This is way better than when he's happy.
He is an awesome primetime newscasting william shatner.
|
phalsebob - 2008-11-11
Oh who cares if he's over dramatic. He's right, and this stuff needs to be said. There is no valid defense of Prop 8 just like there is no valid defense of slavery.

Sometimes I think Keith just fails miserably at being "serious" and this is what comes out when he tries. I'm glad he said this, even though he sounds like a douche, but I think all Keith Olbermann vids should now have the ACTING! tag.

why don't you all save your repudiations for the people who are wrong
